GREEN... with LOVE

Since the beginning of time, green has signified growth, rebirth, and fertility. In pagan times, there was the "Green Man" - a symbol of fertility. In Muslim countries, it is a holy color and in Ireland, a lucky color. It was the color of the heavens in the Ming Dynasty.

Today's greens can be found in a wide range of objects: pea soup, delicate celadon glazes, emeralds, wasabi, and sage. | love how the process of making ceramics, from beginning to end, is so in- teractive and full of surprises. The clay often has its own ideas as to where and how it wants to go. All the studios, artists, and manufacturers we represent focus on sustainability and have an eye for great design.

 

 

Erin Adams is one of the most celebrated product designers in the United States

She has won numerous awards for her work,Including:

  • Interior Design magazine, Best of Design, 2015

  • Cooper Hewitt [ksigner of lhe Year (nominee), 2010

  • Chrysler Corporation's Innovator or the Year For Product Design, 2007.

Erin's reputation traces back to Erin Adams Design, Inc where from 1998 to 2010 she was the exclusive creator of six collections for Ann Sacks Tile and Stone. In thc 1990s, Erin was commissioned to design the lobby for famed fashion designer Cynthia Steffe. Her work for Steffe included a groundbreaking twelve-by-eight-foot mosaic rug for the foyer of Steffe's showroom. The mosaic tile rug has been featured in many national publications, and earned Erin numerous commissions for similar pieces from major hotels in New York City to celebrities, such as Versace and Donna Karan. A Brand was Erin's housewares collection that she created from 1987 to 1998. It was an immediate suct•ess. Its first tabletop and accessories were sold in high-end stores such as Henri Bendel and Neiman Marcus. Her mrk received numerous accolades from the press, and Erin was recognized as the first designer tp use stained glass as mvsaic medium.'tained glass mosaic the most successful and financially profitable processes stained glass industry.

Erin began her entrepreneurial career with the founding of EXVOTO, a Manhattan-based gallery. During her time at EWOTO, the famed hotelier André Balazs and Katie Ford, owner of the Ford Modeling Agency, hired Erin to design the interior of their townhouse. She was also commissioned to design the interiors of several nightclubs. As word of her talents spread, more celebrities sought her.eryices. At that time, realized she could scale the business to create and manufacture high-end housewares for larger markets, which led to the founding of
